ClassBrain and Cagle Cartoons Team Up

To Create Unique Current Event Projects For Students

ClassBrain (http://www.classbrain.com) and Cagle Cartoons (http://cagle.slate.msn.com/) have joined forces to offer teachers and students interesting and timely current event projects. Each week ClassBrain will be creating a new set of projects that use political cartoons from Cagle Cartoons.

The projects include one or more political cartoons, topical questions, Internet links, and other custom resource materials created by the two groups of artists and writers. These current event projects will allow students in social studies classes to explore timely issues in projects that pique their curiosity while it tickles their funny bones.

Teachers are welcome to print out the cartoons and the related current event projects at Daryl Cagle’s Teacher Guide: http://cagle.slate.msn.com/teacher/ or in ClassBrain’s Teens Section under Political Cartoons: http://www.classbrain.com/artteensb/publish/cat_index_19.shtml.

A permanent archive of past current event projects using Cagle political cartoons is available in ClassBrain’s Teens Section under Political Cartoons.
